There is more inner peace available with each passing season because more members of the human tribe are discovering the way home. The love is returning. As that flow of life increases, and the Two-leggeds find the Eternal Flame of Love inside of themselves, the language of Love will return. All life forms will live together as one and will support all others without judgement or exception. Listen. Can you hear it?” Jamie Sams: The 13 Clan Mothers: Excerpt from Listening Woman

CycleWise Retreats

I am a gardener. Wherever I roam I tend to soil and seed with a care informed with a wonder and reverence for the great mysteries that hold the patterns of life. When I rest my attention in the cycles of growth and decay I find a peace here. Here, I can lean into something that is immutable despite its power to be forever changing. The soil embraces the seed, the seed nourished becomes the flower that swells into the harvest of fruit that falls to the earth and renews itself as soil to tend again to roots. And so it goes on, in a myriad different ways and forms. Such is the intricacy and simplicity of life.

We are part of an ever changing cycle of birth, death and rebirth. Every dawn becomes dusk, every dark moon waxes to full and becomes new again. Every life, every story has a beginning, a middle and an end.

These Cyclewise retreats are a weave of this cyclical wisdom held within reverent ceremony, generous and tender holding and nurturing touch.

To honour your first bleed, in the Spring there is the Menarche Retreat.

To acknowledge the alchemical initiation of midlife, in Autumn there is the Midlife Retreat.

Throughout  the year there is also the opportunity to create your own Big Bleed Bespoke Retreat either alone or with your close circle to bring reverence to the deep ceremony of your temple time.

And in early Spring and late Autumn, I open up the Big Bleed Red Tent Retreat space for us to gather and explore various aspects of Soul Informed Cyclical Living together.

Big Bleed Retreats

Personal or communal retreat spaces designed around your bleeding time—an invitation to rest, restore, and reconnect with the sacredness of your cycle.

Rites of Passage Retreats

Seasonal retreats marking the significant initiations of menarche and menopause—held in deep reverence and community.

Who are these retreats for?

These retreats are for you if you feel the call to deepen your relationship with your cyclical and soul nature.

They are a time to slow down, honour your body’s rhythms, and mark your life transitions in sacred ways either collectively or individually.

Whether you are bleeding, healing, needing some alone time, in a transition —or simply longing to listen to and connect more deeply with the rhythms of your body and the natural world—you are welcome here.

Why Retreat?

Reclaim Sacred time for yourself

IImagine giving yourself the gift of space and time, just to be? Put down your responsibilities and surrender into the tides of your body being.

Receive deep rest, support and ceremony

Allow yourself to rest. Open to the care and nourishment of others who know how to serve you r needs as you renew and receive yourself and life’s blessings.

Honour your thresholds and transitions

Take time to meet and honour the threshold moments of being womb born. In circle and ceremony give witness to yourself and others as we explore, heal and celebrate the rites of passage that mark our organic cyclical nature.

Practice the art of embodying your cyclical Nature

Whether you are new to Cycle Awareness or have been weaving the thread of your cycling nature for some time, there is a magic that happens when we come together to share ourselves and our experiences. In this space we can show up for our stories, hold each other as we heal our wounds and receive encouragement and sacred practice to enrich and inform us in our daily lives as we lean into Cycle Awareness as a guide to the way we shape our choices and our ‘one precious life’.

Why I created these retreats

I am womb born and as a young women, still new to the ebb and flow of menstruation and ovulation, I noticed how my body was delicately tethered to the phases of the moon. The shape of her in the night sky became the compass that would alert me to the hormonal shifts moving like tectonic plates in this burgeoning body.

I noticed how nearing my bleed I would become thin skinned and during my blood tide a timelessness would embalm me in a dreamlike state. At my ovulation I could grow restless and reactive, rebellious and reckless and just passed the full moon of me, stormy with regret, sharp wit and clear intuition.

Another seed was sown in my now fertile soil the moment I discovered the lexicon and practice of Menstrual Cycle Awareness through @redschool. Here was a method of acknowledging my own changing, cyclical nature with maps, practical steps and a shared language.

As any gardener knows, this paying attention yields miraculous harvest. This simple act of encountering myself as I am has become foundational to the way I chose to live my life. It, like the moon, has become a thread that binds me to my cyclical nature. It has carried me through peri-menopause,  the unravelling of my menopause and now offers me the steady hand at my back as I emerge into my eldership.

My life’s journey has been illuminated with my willingness to be guided by these ever present cycles of life. Now it is time to share these gifts with you.
