Vital Touch Therapies Coronavirus Protocol

Welcome.

 

In the light of Covid-19, I trust this information will bring you clarity and raise awareness of my therapy regime.

 

Rest assured, most of these protocols have been in place since I started practicing.

Treatment Protocol

  • Consultation is  Key.

  • Every new client is asked to fill in a Consultation Form at their initial treatment.

  • If you have any underlying conditions that may expose you to higher risk from attending treatment, then I will alert you to them.

  • If you choose to continue your treatment, you will be asked to sign a disclaimer that will be kept on file.

  • At every subsequent appointment, before hands-on treatment I check in with every client to assess their state of physical, mental and emotional health.

  • If I feel your present state reveals signs and symptoms of a health risk, I may decline treatment.

  • I schedule sessions to allow sufficient time between appointments so that I can sterilise the therapy room and to ensure only one client is in the room at a time.

  • Please respect this social distancing protocol by arriving at the start of the time for your appointment. If you are early, I ask you please to wait in your car (weather permitting). If you have come by bike or on foot, then you will be asked to wait in our lounge.

The Therapy Space

  • The room is deep cleaned once every week.

  • On a daily basis commonly touched surfaces (door handles, taps, toilet facilities, soap dispenser etc) are sterilised.

  • To minimise contamination, I ask that you allow me to open all entrance/exit doors myself.

  • Between treatments the face rest and couch are sterilised and fresh linen used in each treatment.

  • I am no longer dispensing water unless in an emergency situation and ask you please to supply your own in a reusable water bottle.

  • In addition to this cleaning protocol, I will also be using an aromatherapy diffuser using essential oils that are proven to be anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. In this way the air and surfaces will be kept clean.

  • All used laundry is kept in a lidded container until it is washed and all laundry is washed at the highest temperature cycle.

As your Therapist

  • I am currently free from symptoms.

  • If at any stage I have symptoms relating to Covid 19 or learn that I have been in contact with someone diagnosed with Covid-19 or someone who is self-isolating, I will cancel all appointments until further notice.

  • I will not be using a face mask.

  • As always, I wash and sanitise my hands before and after each session, keep my nails short and use a nail brush when necessary.

As the Client

  • If you want to use a facemask, then please provide your own.

  • To prevent cross contimination, I now provide a sterilised container for your shoes and jacket when entering the premises and another in the practice space for the rest of your clothes and possessions.

  • I will ask you to wash your hands before and after each treatment. (You will be provided with your own hand towel that you can leave in the covered basket provided in the bathroom.)

  • I now offer greater flexibility with my Cancellation Policy and urge you to cancel your treatment well in advance if you feel unwell.

  • After a treatment, if you feel unwell with any symptoms that are related to Covid-19 please do not hesitate to contact me. The same applies if you learn you have come into contact with someone before your treatment with a confirmed case of Covid-19.

 

Payment

  • I have a wooden bowl for you to make payment in cash.

  • If you are wanting to make an electronic payment I will give you my bank details in the session so you can make your online payment.
